Ruth Ann Brown

September 24, 1945 — April 3, 2026

Ruth “Ruthie” Ann Brown was received into the arms of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, April 3, 2026.

Ruthie was born in Cambridge, OH in 1945. She was the beloved only child of the late James Arthur and Freda Mae Bell.

Ruthie had a lengthy career as a highly valued clerical specialist for the Ohio Secretary of State’s office. Outside of work, Ruthie loved reading, working word searches, and spending time with family and friends. In their younger years, she and her husband Carl enjoyed traveling to Amish country and going on various mission trips. Most of all, Ruthie loved Jesus.

Ruthie lived a life of Christian service and devotion. She never had an unkind word to speak of anyone. She loved everyone she met and would make sure to tell you every chance she had. If you were blessed to know Ruthie, she would ask you if you were a Christian, praise Jesus if you were, and pray for salvation if you were not. We know Ruthie is joined by a great many loved ones in heaven, dancing at the feet of our Lord.

Ruthie was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her devoted husband of 52 years, Carl Brown, Jr, step-children, Jacqueline (Richard) Babcock and James Brown, five grandchildren, and six great grandchildren, along with innumerable friends, many of whom she met at Calvary Bible Baptist Church (now CrossPointe Church in Westerville, OH).
