Tammy Burton, 59, of Lancaster, Ohio, passed away peacefully on May 26th 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on February 27th 1967, to Donald and Beverly McGuire.

Tammy shared a beautiful love story with her husband, Mike Burton. Married for 40 years after meeting at just 16 years old, the two built a life centered around love, family, laughter, and unwavering devotion to one another. Through every season of life, they stood side by side, creating countless memories and a bond that remained strong until the very end.

Tammy was feisty, strong-willed, and full of life. She had a beautiful soul and a personality that could light up a room. She loved music, angels, birds, gardening, being outdoors, spending time at the beach, and playing cornhole with family and friends. She was known for speaking her mind, making people laugh, and loving fiercely with her whole heart.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Mike Burton; her daughters, Tiffany (Kenny) Moorer and Heather (Aaron) Gompf; and her beloved grandchildren, Mikayla, Lily, Christian, Keshun, and Diana, who brought endless joy and pride to her life.

She is also survived by her brother, Don (Mary) ; sisters, Karen (Opie) and Nikki (Mike) ; brother-in-law, Jim (Sherrie); sister-in-law, Lynne; nieces Sarah, Tonya, Jenna, Brittany, and Megan and their families; mother-in-law, Barbara Krause; and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Beverly McGuire, and her father-in-law, Joe Burton.

The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to Fairhope Hospice & Palliative Care for the exceptional care, compassion, and support they provided Tammy and her family throughout the years. Special thanks to Palliative Nurse Practitioner Haley; Nurse Keely; Dorothy, Amber, Kristena, and Lisa; Chaplain Mark; social worker Sarah; and the entire hospice team for the kindness, comfort, dignity, and love they showed every step of the way. Your dedication not only cared for Tammy but also brought comfort and strength to those who loved her most.

Per Tammy’s wishes, no formal services will be held. A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
