Thomas Christopher Trask

August 4, 1982 — February 27, 2026

Thomas Christopher Trask, 43, of Columbus , Ohio, passed away on early February 27, 2026.
Born and raised primarily in Sacramento, California and the surrounding areas, Thomas carried with him a deep love for family, music, and creativity throughout his life. He worked as a Health and Safety Environmental Supervisor for MDNA, where he was respected for his dedication, leadership, and commitment to protecting others.
Thomas was admired not only for his work ethic, but for the way he led. His boss, Mike Fish, shared that Tom was always looking out for others and was proud to be in a position where he could step back, truly understand where people were coming from, and help them grow. He was hands-on, next level in his approach, and passionate about training and coaching those around him. He didn’t just supervise — he invested in people.
Outside of work, Thomas had a true passion for rap music and found joy in writing and performing his own lyrics. Music was one of the many ways he expressed himself and connected with others. He also loved to cook and treasured every opportunity to gather with family. Being surrounded by those he loved most brought him his greatest happiness.
At home, he was greeted with unmatched excitement by Marley Kate, the family’s beloved golden retriever. Their playful “fights” and her overwhelming joy when he returned home from being on the road were moments that brought laughter and light into their household. The bond they shared was just another reflection of Thomas’s loving and playful spirit.
He was a devoted and loving husband to Erin Trask and an outstanding father to his children, Chastity, Kaiya, Grayson, and Ava Black. His family was the center of his world, and he took immense pride in being present, supportive, and deeply involved in their lives.
Thomas was preceded in death by his grandmother, Patty Keller, whom he considered a mother and who held a special place in his heart. Also David Keller who was his grandfather.
He is survived by his mother, Jennifer Keller-Williams; his father Kent Trask, step mom Carla Cissney and step father Pat Reed; his siblings Joseph, Nicole, Megan, Michelle, Warren and Journey; many extended family members and dear friends who loved him deeply; and Marley Kate, who will forever wait for him at the door.
While his family grieves his physical absence, they find comfort in God’s promise:
“The Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.” — Psalm 121:8
May this promise bring peace in knowing that Thomas’s love remains, and that he continues to watch over Erin Trask and his children with the same devotion he showed every day of his life.
The world is a smaller place without him. His love, leadership, laughter, creativity, and strength will be profoundly missed and forever remembered.
