Trevor Butterworth

Trevor Butterworth, age 77, passed away at his home in Millersport, Ohio, on Sunday, December 28, 2025, following a courageous battle with cancer.

Born on August 23, 1948, in Littleborough, England, Trevor was the son of Frank and Nellie (Wood) Butterworth. He grew up in Canada and later lived in Florida and Ohio.

Trevor immigrated from England to Canada at the young age of five on the Queen Mary ocean liner. He served in the United States Navy from 1967 – 1971. He spent his career at Efficient Electric and General Electric until he retired at age 60. He enjoyed gardening, boating, gambling, motorcycles, rock music, and rescuing many breeds of animals over the years that included dogs, cats, horses, goats, ducks, parrots, and a raccoon.

He will be greatly missed by his amazing wife Lenore (Fontanelle) of 51 years. The world is a little darker without his sense of humor.

Trevor was preceded in death by his parents, and his older sister Sadie.

Survived by his loving daughters Heather (Aaron) Maltry, Sherry (Josh) Martin, cherished grandchildren Elle (Katie), Claire, Alex, Emma, and Will.
