Vonda Lee Moore

August 24, 1939 — June 8, 2026

Vonda Lee Moore (Wittlinger), 86, of Zanesville, Ohio, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2026.  Born on August 24, 1939, Vonda was the beloved daughter of William and Virginia Wittlinger.

On September 12, 1959, she married the love of her life, James R. Moore. Together they built a life centered on family, faithfulness, and enduring love. Vonda and James shared many wonderful years together until his passing.

Vonda is survived by her children, Vonda Buckey (Ralph Whittington), Doug (Kelly) Moore, and Wendy (Bill) Adams. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Jessica Hennessy, Megan (John) Jarvis, Ryan (Tori) Marshall, Jonathan Moore, Keely (Nathan) Posey, JT (Alisha) Bunting, and Madison (Logan) Fluharty.

She was also blessed with eleven great-grandchildren: Carter, Camden, Maren, Malcolm, Jaxon, Quinn, Layla, Lynlie, Krew, Veya, and Daxx, each of whom brought her immense joy and pride.  Vonda was preceded in death by her husband, James R. Moore. And by her parents, William and Virginia Wittlinger, and her sister, Patricia “Patti” Bacon.

She found happiness in life’s simple pleasures. Vonda loved tending to her hummingbird feeders and watching the hummingbirds that gathered around her home. She enjoyed old Western television shows. And she cherished time spent outdoors, especially hunting for crawdads in the creek with her grandchildren. Above all, she treasured time with her family and created countless memories that will be carried forward by those who loved her.

Vonda will be remembered for her love, devotion, and the warmth she shared with family and friends. Her legacy lives on through the generations she helped shape and nurture.  She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.
