William H Croom

William Henry Croom, affectionately known as Bill, was born in Ridgely, Tennessee on April 10, 1949 to the union of Willie T. and Willie Bell Glenn Croom. He departed this life in Columbus, Ohio on March 29, 2023 at the age of 73.

William served his country faithfully in the United States Air Force and was later employed as a Motor Vehicle Operator Leader at the Defense Logistics Agency Installation Services at DCSC/DSCC in Whitehall, Ohio, until the time of his retirement in 2003.

His hobby was collecting sports memorabilia. At the time of his passing, he owned baseball caps and t-shirts from almost every team in the US baseball and football leagues.

He leaves to cherish his memory, two daughters: Stacey Croom and Irene Croom, of Columbus, Ohio; one son: Derell Croom of Columbus, Ohio, and one sister: Shirley Carter of Decatur, Georgia, a host of grandchildren, other relatives, friends, and former co-workers.
