William “Bill” Miller went to heaven surrounded by his family on February 8, 2026. Bill was born on October 7, 1948, in Lancaster, Ohio. Bill is survived by his beloved wife Shirley and two sons Scott Miller (Kelly) and Jonathon Miller (Michelle), grandchildren Blake Miller, Brooklyn Miller, Brayden Miller, numerous nieces and nephews, brother-in laws, sister-in laws, and many more loving family members. He was proceeded in death by his parents Charles Miller & Esther Miller and sister Barbara (Ray) Combs.
Bill graduated from Fairfield Union High School in 1966 and proudly served in the US Navy stationed in China Lake until November 1969. Bill farmed and worked at Franklin County Animal Control before retiring. Bill faithfully served his church as an usher and bell ringer, welcoming others with a warm hug, smile, and a servant’s heart. He was a devoted Christian and family man who found his greatest joy in time spent with those he loved most.
Whether riding his motorcycle with his wife or grandchildren, competing in tractor pulls with the Pink Panther or watching them, watching movies, attending sporting events, or the many lake trips with family, Bill embraced life with warmth, love, and pride. Bill talked about the motorcycle ride with his wife where they just took off and rode to enjoy visiting New Mexico, Grand Canyon, and many other adventures, including returning to China Lake and other California areas where he served in the Navy. His legacy lives on through the family he cherished, the values he upheld, and the many moments that will always be remembered.
A visitation and celebration of life is scheduled for Saturday, March 14, 2026. Visitation is from 2pm-3pm and Bill’s celebration of life is 3pm-4pm at New Zion Methodist Church located at 10991 Snyder Church Rd NW in Baltimore, Ohio.
