William Patrick Winebrenner Sr. of Stockport, Ohio passed away Thursday April 25, 2024 at home surrounded by his loved ones.
He was born September 26, 1933, at home, in Tin Can Hollar in West Columbia, West Virginia to the late Lucy Riley Chipps and Richard Winebrenner. Bill lived an amazing and eventful life. He was a member of the IBEW local 245 out of Toledo. He was a power lineman for forty years before retiring. Bill has always dreamed big and he went on to put pen to paper and do what he did best, story telling. He authored six books which gave him plenty of opportunities to travel and tell his tales to anyone who would listen. He is a member of Who's Who in America and Who's Who in the World. He also enjoyed fishing along the Ohio and Muskingum Rivers and was an avid hunter. In later years, he looked forward to Saturdays watching the Ohio State Buckeyes football. One of the last things Bill made sure to express was that he had a good life and loved his family very much.
Bill is Survived by his Children; Bill (Andrea) Winebrenner of McConnelsville and Tanya (Brad) Fitts of Nashport; Five Children he raised like his own; Richard (Karen) Downing of Hope, NM, Debbie (Jerry) Helt of Barnesville, Kathie (Daryl) Becker of Zanesville, Jennifer (Greg) Brown of Lynchburg and Todd Bell of Caldwell. Also surviving are his Brothers; Bob (Pat) Winebrenner of Danville, OH and Roger (Delores) Winebrenner of New Haven, WV; And several Grandchildren and Great
Grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by; his fiance Wilma Baldwin; Wife Hazel Thorpe; Daughter Rita Hreha, Son-in-Law Richard Hreha; Brother Jack Winebrenner; and an infant Grandson.
There will be no service or calling hours observed. The Family would like to thank Genesis Hospital, Morrison House and Leaf Cremation for caring for William and their Family during this difficult time.
